On the first day of the Kreisky Forum symposium in Vienna, “1989-2015: Women in Post-Communist Countries. A Neglected Problem?” a famous German feminist and the editor of a journal Emma gave a lecture about women in East and West Germany. She also talked about the generation gap, which always proves to be very important when one is looking at gender issues. The younger generations should stand on the older feminists’ shoulders in order not to repeat the same mistakes and clichés all over again, said Alice Schwarzer.
