In La Repubblica on October 5, Pietro Veronese finishes his article Tutte le anime della Nigeria by saying:

“It reminded me of a Croatian writer Slavenka Drakulić who could express catastrophy of wars in ex-Yugoslavia in the nineties describing a jealousy for a nice pair of high-heel shoes. You have to read it to believe it.”
