A while ago, prime minister of Poland Donald Tusk said “I know it sounds scary, especially for the younger generations, but we must prepare ourselves mentally for the beginning of a new era, a pre-war period”. In her new article for DIE ZEIT, Slavenka Drakulić tackled the Ukraine war and Tusk’s statement, asking the reader a simple question: how does one prepare for war, and is it at all possible?
