Last year, Irish film director Juanita Wilson directed the feature film ”As If I Am Not There ”, based on the novel of the same name (published in the USA under the title ”S. – a novel about the Balkans”, Viking/Penguin, NY 1999.). Shown at many international festivals around the world, on February 12, 2011 – it won The Irish Film and Television Academy award for best director and best script.
