Drakulic at the Leiden Law School

On September 1st, Slavenka Drakulić took part in the inauguration program for the first year students of the Leiden Law School in the Netherlands.


In the 300 years old theatre Leidse Schouwburg, in a performance dedicated to the massacre in Srebrenica in 1995, she spoke together with lawyers and faculty members.

Afterwards, her book They Would Never Hurt a Fly was distributed to the 1050 law students.

New translation of “Optužena”

Drakulić’s novel “Optužena” (The Accused) has just been released in Slovakia. The novel OBŽALOVANÁ, story of a family trauma that leads to the daughter killing her mother, was released by publisher’s house Aspekt, and translated by Alica Kulihová.
